Art Sound Subwoofer
The subwoofer (device for the reproduction of low-frequency sound waves) design project has become the first component of the whole range of modern acoustics, designed for the young customers. It was made by request of the American company Art Sound. The clear choice of potential customers’ segment has defined the stylistics of the object – it must have maximum striking and even aggressive design. For special individuality the loud speaker was made in two colors – the game of contrast between black and red is used.
The diffuser has become an important design element, specifically its material, plastic, that allowed us to make its form not simply original and the one to remember. The diffuser of such form has a good rigidity what is important for sound quality. So, the chosen structure allowed to make the object more functional from one side, and left a lot of space for the designers’ ideas from another.
